The Lions won't make a play for Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, according to Jason La Canfora.
Detroit doesn't want Haynesworth to have a negative influence on rookie Ndamukong Suh.
"Lions no longer mulling any trade for Albert Haynesworth. Have determined he'd be a possible negative influence on Suh," La Canfora wrote on his Twitter page.
Trade Rumor - Football Wiretap
Seahawks, Redskins Interested In Vincent Jackson
The Seahawks and Redskins are interested in possibly trading for Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson.
Sources confirmed that San Diego and Seattle discussed a potential trade earlier this month, but the Chargers turned down the deal.
It is not known whether the Redskins have been in contact with the Chargers about Jackson.
Ravens Won't Get Much For Troy Smith
The Ravens might try shopping quarterback Troy Smith after signing Marc Bulger.
However, the Baltimore Sun points out that they are unlikely to get more than a sixth rounder in return.
No team showed interest in Smith when he could have been had for a fifth round pick as a restricted free agent.
Report: Cowboys Had Interest In Brown
Jeff Duncan of the Times-Picayune reports that the Cowboys had interest in Jammal Brown before the Saints dealt him to the Redskins.
"As an addendum to the Jammal Brown story, a source told me the Cowboys also showed interest in him," Duncan wrote on his Twitter page.
Agent: Haynesworth Wants Trade
Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth won't attend the team's minicamp and has now asked for a trade.
Haynesworth released a statement through Comcast SportsNet late Tuesday saying that he will "continue to work individually to prepare for training camp and the start of the 2010 season."
Agent Chad Speck confirmed that a trade has been requested.
"The Redskins are trying to establish a new regime with new schemes at Redskins Park, and it is not an organization that Albert would have ever been attracted to just a short year ago -- regardless of the money," Speck told The Washington Post. "He has made it clear to me that he does not want to play for the Washington Redskins.
"This situation will be a distraction to the Redskins and to Albert and his teammates. I am certain [head coach] Mike [Shanahan] and [general manager] Bruce [Allen] want to get the most out of their first year, and it's probably in everyone's best interests for the Redskins to make a deal and trade Albert."
Seahawks 'Very Interested' In Marshawn Lynch
If the Bills decide to trade running back Marshawn Lynch, the Seahawks are very interested, a source told NFL.com.
Buffalo has held onto Lynch even though other teams are interested and he's currently third on the team's depth chart.
The Seahawks remained interested in Lynch even before releasing LenDale White, according to a source.
Lynch's good friend, Justin Forsett, is on the roster.
Mankins Wants Patriots To Trade Him
Patriots offensive lineman Logan Mankins said Monday that he does not plan to sign his restricted free agent tender and wants to be traded.
"At this point, I'm pretty frustrated, from everything that's happened and the way negotiations have gone," Mankins said. "I want to be traded. I don't need to be here any more."
Mankins has until 11:59 p.m. ET to sign his $3.26 million tender.
Asked his plans in regard to signing the tender, Mankins said: "There is no way that I'm signing that thing."
